Ine Palacio,

(Your Guide)

I’m Ine, a psychologist and therapist. Since 2011, I have been exploring how we humans function, what causes us suffering, and how we can free ourselves from distress.

Throughout my journey, I have trained in various therapeutic approaches (ACT, CFT, FAP, DBT, IBCT) and tools such as meditation and emotional regulation systems. All of this has helped me understand the things we sometimes do that complicate our lives and limit us on the path to what we want.

Personally, for a long time I felt trapped in my own mind: I thought I would never get out, that no one could understand me, that I was a mess. Until I discovered that my thoughts, actions, and strategies for coping with my circumstances were not helping me achieve what I truly wanted.

I am a very visual person, so I use images, metaphors, and drawings to help us see problems in perspective, without getting lost in mental chatter (this is where attention training or meditation becomes a great ally).

You might come here thinking you’re a lost cause or that your situation has no solution. I want you to notice something:

If others have managed to get through similar experiences, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel: we can find a map to guide you.

I don’t believe anyone is so “crazy” that they can’t be understood or helped. That’s why I invite you to co-create a small space where you can pause, listen to yourself, view your situation with perspective, and choose how to face it.

And I want learning to take care of yourself to be not your last resort, but a choice you can embrace before reaching your limit.

WHY I BELIEVE IN THERAPY?

Sometimes it feels odd to talk about “believing” in therapy, as if it were a religion. But I understand where the doubt comes from. From the outside, it may seem like just pleasant conversations or motivational pep talks. And of course, motivation is part of it: in therapy, I’m your biggest supporter, your number one fan. Not because you’ve done something extraordinary, but because I trust that the potential for change is there, within you, waiting to be awakened.

But therapy doesn’t stop at encouragement. The interventions I use are grounded in behavioral sciences, a field where therapists and researchers have spent years studying how distress works and which concrete strategies help alleviate it. It’s like having a map: someone has already explored the terrain, and today we can use that knowledge so we don’t walk blindly.

Just as we know that physical exercise strengthens the body, we also need to exercise the mind. Without training, the mind gets lost in thoughts and worries. That exercise can be meditation, attention training, or learning new ways to relate to what we feel. In short, therapy is not an act of faith, but a space where science and practice come together to help you live more lightly.
